Community Reports Should Feed the Next-Steps File
Community Choice says complaints and local reports should become evidence, not disappear after submission deadlines.

Submissions are closed, but evidence is not
the Economic Future committee page says written submissions closed August 17, 2026. Communities still need a way for current complaints, school-area concerns, and suspected illegal sales to inform enforcement after the submission window.
A practical reporting loop
- Receive the complaint.
- Sort it by channel.
- Refer it to the right enforcement body.
- Publish de-identified outcomes.
Why this would help
Alberta says its enforcement team responds to public complaints on the provincial rules page. Turning those complaints into a visible loop would give Bill 208 next steps a stronger evidence base.
